Install the P12V front bus bar

Use this information to install the P12V front bus bar.

Firmware and driver download: You might need to update the firmware or driver after replacing a component.

Procedure

  1. Align the P12V front bus bars to the screw holes on the right-side GB200-NVL4 board and the host board. Then, install them to the tray.
    Note
    • The P12V front bus bars are directional. Make sure the bus bars are positioned as shown in the illustration below.

    • Make sure the black bus bars and red bus bars are arranged as illustrated.

  2. With a torque screwdriver set to the proper torque, install sixteen (16x) screws to secure the P12V front bus bars to the tray.
    1. Install eight (8x) T30 screws to secure the bus bars to the right-side GB200-NVL4 board.
    2. Install eight (8x) PH2 screws to secure the bus bars to the host board.
    Note

    For reference, the torque required for the screws to be fully tightened/removed is 15.0 +/- 0.5 in-lbs, or 1.69 +/- 0.056 N-m.

After you finish
  1. Install the water loop. See Install the water loop.

  2. Install the HMC module. See Install the HMC module.

  3. Install the bus bar connector module. See Install the bus bar connector module.

  4. Install the sideband cable kit. See Install the system management sideband cable kit.

  5. Install the leakage sensor. See Install the leakage sensor.

  6. Install the E3.S drive cage. See Install an E3.S drive cage assembly.

  7. Install the PCIe adapter riser cage. See Install a ConnectX-7 NDR 200 adapter riser assembly, Install a ConnectX-7 NDR 400 adapter riser assembly, Install a ConnectX-8 XDR adapter riser assembly, or Install the OSFP module.
  8. Install the OSFP module. See Install the OSFP module.
  9. Install the tray cover. See Install the tray cover.

  10. Install the tray into the enclosure. See Install a tray in the enclosure.

  11. Connect all required external cables to the solution.
    Note
    Use extra force to connect QSFP cables to the solution.
  12. Check the power LED on each node to make sure it changes from fast blink to slow blink to indicate all nodes are ready to be powered on.
