Install the P48V bus bar

Use this information to install the P48V bus bar.

Procedure

Note
Before installing the P48V bus bar, make sure the cross-shaped rubber is attached to the Mylar in the tray. If not, install the rubber to the tray, see Install the tray rubber.

  1. Align the P48V bus bar with the screw holes on the tray; then, install it to the tray.

  2. With a torque screwdriver set to the proper torque, install screws to secure the P48V bus bar to the tray.
    1. Install four (4x) PH2 thumb screws to secure the bus bar to the host board.
      Note

      For reference, when installing PH2 thumb screws, the torque required for the screws to be fully tightened/removed is 15.0 +/- 0.5 in-lbs, or 1.69 +/- 0.056 N-m.

    2. Install three (3x) T10 screws to secure the bus bar to the tray.
      Note

      For reference, when installing T10 screws, the torque required for the screws to be fully tightened/removed is 5 +/- 0.5 in-lbs, or 0.56 +/- 0.056 N-m.

After you finish
  1. Install the water loop. See Install the water loop.

  2. Install the E3.S drive cage. See Install an E3.S drive cage assembly.

  3. Install the PCIe adapter riser cage. See Install a ConnectX-7 NDR 200 adapter riser assembly, Install a ConnectX-7 NDR 400 adapter riser assembly, Install a ConnectX-8 XDR adapter riser assembly, or Install the OSFP module.
  4. Install the bus bar connector module. See Install the bus bar connector module.

  5. Install the cross bar. See Install the cross bar.

  6. Install the tray cover. See Install the tray cover.

  7. Install the tray into the enclosure. See Install a tray in the enclosure.

  8. Connect all required external cables to the solution.
    Note
    Use extra force to connect QSFP cables to the solution.
  9. Check the power LED on each node to make sure it changes from fast blink to slow blink to indicate all nodes are ready to be powered on.
