Install the bus bar connector module

Use this information to install the bus bar connector module.

  • Screwdriver for PH1 and PH2 screws

Attention
Firmware and driver download: You might need to update the firmware or driver after replacing a component.

Procedure

  1. Slide the bus bar connector module into the slot on the tray rear wall. Install four screws from top and bottom to secure the bus bar connector module to the rear wall.
    Note

    For reference, the torque required for the screws to be fully tightened/removed is 5.0+/- 0.5 in-lbs, 0.55+/- 0.056 N-m.

  2. Install the rear wall. See Install the rear wall.
  3. Arrange the bus bar connector module cables until the cables are neatly seated next to each other, and the surface of this bundle of cables is flat.

  4. Secure the bus bar connector cables with the cable tie on the NVLink interposer board stiffener.

After you finish
  1. Complete cable routing. See Internal cable routing.

  2. Install the cross bar. See Install the cross bar.

  3. Install the tray cover. See Install the tray cover.

  4. Install the tray into the enclosure. See Install a tray in the enclosure.

  5. Connect all required external cables to the solution.
    Note
    Use extra force to connect QSFP cables to the solution.
  6. Check the power LED on each node to make sure it changes from fast blink to slow blink to indicate all nodes are ready to be powered on.
