Host protocol overview

You can convert the host port protocol of the baseboard host ports in the controller shelf.

The following figure shows the back of a 2U/4Ucontroller that has two SFP+ (optical) baseboard host ports and four SFP+ (optical) HIC ports .

A two-port HIC is also available.
