Array Management

Array management includes tasks for discovering storage arrays, launching System Manager for a controller, importing array settings, managing array groups and upgrading the ThinkSystem SAN OS software.

  • Discover and manage storage arrays
    Use the Add/Discover feature to find and add the storage arrays you want to manage in your organization's network. From the Manage page, you can also rename, remove, and provide new passwords for these discovered arrays.
  • Launch System Manager
    Use the Launch option to open System Manager in a new browser window. The System Manager interface provides additional management operations for a controller in a storage array.
  • Import array settings
    The Import Settings feature allows you to copy configuration settings from one storage array to another.
  • Manage array groups
    You can create, delete, and rename storage array groups; add or remove storage arrays from groups; and remove storage arrays from the DE Plugin for vCenter.
  • Upgrade
    From the Upgrade Center, you can manage ThinkSystem SAN OS software and NVSRAM upgrades for multiple storage arrays.
