Operating Modes
The ThinkSystem SR635 and SR655 servers offer two preset operating modes, Maximum Efficiency and Maximum Performance. These modes are a collection of predefined low-level UEFI settings that simplify the task of tuning the server for either maximum performance or energy efficiency.
Use the following submenu to set the operating mode.

L1 Stream HW Prefetcher | Disable | Enable | Auto | Enable or disable the L1 Stream HW Prefetcher. The default option is Auto. |
L2 Stream HW Prefetcher | Disable | Enable | Auto | Enable or disable the L2 Stream HW Prefetcher. The default option is Auto. |
Global C-state Control | Disable | Enable | Auto | Enables or disables for IO based C-state generation and DF C-states control. The default option is Enable. |
SMT Mode | Disable | Auto | Disable symmetric multithreading. To re-enable SMT, a POWER CYCLE is needed after selecting the Auto option. The default option is Auto. |
Memory Interleaving | Disable | Auto | Disable the memory interleaving. The default option is Auto. |
NUMA nodes per socket | NPS0 | NPS1 | NPS2 | NPS4 | Auto | Specify the number of desired NUMA nodes per socket. NPS0 means to interleave the two sockets together. The default option is NPS1. |
