Configuration requirements

To perform the initial firmware configuration, there are both connection and information requirements.

  • Connection requirements
    To perform the initial blade appliance configuration, you can use either a concurrent-KVM (cKVM) or a Serial over LAN (SOL) console connection.
  • Information requirements
    You will need the following information before you can configure the initial base configuration for your blade appliance.
  • Password for administration account
    There are some important considerations for the administrator (admin) account password.
