For service technician only: removing the SATADOM

Use this information to remove the SATADOM.

To remove the SATADOM, complete the following steps:

1. Read the safety information that begins on Safety and Installation guidelines.
2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords.
3. Remove the server cover (see Removing the cover).
4. Disconnect the cables that connect to the SATADOM.
5. Press the release latch and then remove the SATADOM bracket in the direction as shown.

6. Remove the SATADOM from the holder.

7. If you are instructed to return the SATADOM, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
