For service technician only: replacing the SATADOM

Use this information to replace the SATADOM.

To install the SATADOM, complete the following steps:

1. Read the safety information that begins on Safety and Installation guidelines.
2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables.
3. Remove the cover (see Removing the cover).
4. Install the SATADOM to the holder as shown.

5. Install the SATADOM bracket in the direction as shown until the release latch clicks into place.

6. Connect the signal and power cable to the SATADOM.

7. Reinstall the cover (see Replacing the cover).
8. Reconnect the power cords and any cables that you removed.
9. Turn on the peripheral devices and the server.
