Installing the appliances

To install the appliances, do the following:

1. Unpack the appliances and ensure that all components such as drives, power supplies, and fans are properly seated and not dislodged or damaged during shipping.

2. Each appliance comes with a rack mount kit. If the appliances are not in a rack, refer to the Rack Mount Installation Guide and install the servers into your rack by using rack mount kit. To obtain the Rack Mount Installation Guide, see Lenovo documentation.

3. Connect the two redundant power supplies on each appliance to the rack-mounted power distribution units.
