System board

The system board executes all the major logic functions of the PCIe Expansion Node.

The system board includes the following components:
  • PCIe switch - controls all routing of PCIe lane traffic between the compute node and the PCIe adapters that are installed in the PCIe Expansion Node
  • PCIe riser connectors - two card-edge connectors that connect the system board to the full-height and low-profile PCIe risers
  • I/O adapter connectors - two expansion ports for I/O adapters
  • Interposer cable connector - allows communication between the compute node host and the PCIe Expansion Node
  • Auxiliary power connectors - two 2x3 six-pin power connectors for connecting auxiliary dc power to the PCIe adapters that are installed in the PCIe Expansion Node
