Use this information to identify the major components of the storage expansion node.

The following illustration shows the major components of the storage expansion node.

  • System board
    The system board executes all the major logic functions of the storage expansion node.
  • Interposer cable
    The interposer cable connects the storage expansion node to the compute node.
  • Drive drawer
    The drive drawer in the storage expansion node contains 12 hot-swap drive bays.
  • Control panel
    The control panel on the storage expansion node has a green activity LED for each drive bay, one yellow status LED for all the drive bays, and a drawer-open LED.
