Server hardware configuration examples

The following hardware configurations are supported:

  • 2U compute server example
    The 2U compute server consists of two identical system-board trays installed in a 2U chassis.
  • 2U storage server example
    The 2U storage server consists of a dx340 system-board tray, a dx360 system-board tray, a dx360 M2 system-board tray, or a dx360 M3 system-board tray with a storage enclosure installed in a 2U chassis.
  • 2U input/output server example
    The 2U input/output server consists of a dx340 system-board tray, a dx360 M2 system-board tray, or a dx360 M3 system-board tray with an I/O enclosure installed in a 2U chassis.
  • 3U storage server example
    The 3U storage server consists of a dx340 system-board tray, a dx360 M2 system-board tray, or a dx360 M3 system-board tray and up to twelve 3.5-inch hot-swap SAS or SATA hard disk drives installed in a 3U chassis.
