Remove a DWC PSU

Use this information to remove a DWC PSU.

Electrical current from power, telephone, and communication cables is hazardous.

To avoid a shock hazard:

  • Connect all power cords to a properly wired and grounded electrical outlet/source.
  • Connect any equipment that will be attached to this product to properly wired outlets/sources.
  • When possible, use one hand only to connect or disconnect signal cables.
  • Never turn on any equipment when there is evidence of fire, water, or structural damage.
  • The device might have more than one power cord, to remove all electrical current from the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from the power source.

The power-control button on the device and the power switch on the power supply do not turn off the electrical current supplied to the device. The device also might have more than one power cord. To remove all electrical current from the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from the power source.

  • Disconnect the power cord from the connector on the back of the power supply.

  • If only one DWC PSU is installed in the solution, you must turn off the solution before removing the power supply.

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the power cords from the electrical outlet; then, disconnect the other end of the power cords from the back of the power supply.
  2. Disconnect the DWC PSU manifold hose assembly from the DWC power supply quick connect.

  3. Remove the DWC power supply.
    1. Rotate the cam handles outwards, the DWC PSU will move slightly out of the bay.
    2. Grasp the handle and pull the DWC power supply out of the bay.

If you are instructed to return the component or optional device, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.

To drain the DWC power supply, follow the instructions below:
  1. Place the DWC power supply standing upright (Inlet top, Outlet bottom) on an elevated flat surface.

  2. Make sure the valve on the hose assembly (supplied to customer installation site) is closed (valve handle perpendicular to the hose); then, connect the hose to Outlet quick connect and place the other end in the bucket. Slowly open the hose valve to allow water to flow out of the hose. Close the hose valve once water stops flowing.

  3. Disconnect the hose assembly from Outlet quick connect and connect it to Inlet quick connect; then, turn the DWC power supply upside down (Outlet top, Inlet bottom). Slowly open the hose valve to allow water to flow out of the hose. Close the hose valve once water stops flowing.

  4. Disconnect the hose assembly.
