Remove the air baffle

Use this information to remove the air baffle.

Read the installation GuidelinesPower off the server for this task
Before removing the air baffle:

  1. Remove the top cover. See Remove the top cover.

  2. If there is a RAID super capacitor module installed on the top of the air baffle, remove the RAID super capacitor module first.

To remove the air baffle, complete the following step:

Grasp the air baffle and carefully lift it out of the server.

Attention
For proper cooling and airflow, install the air baffle before you power on the server. Operating the server with the air baffle removed might damage server components.
