Changing the RAID group when adding capacity disks

While adding capacity disks (HDDs) to an aggregate, you can change the RAID group to which you want to add the disks by using Storage Manager .

1. Choose one of the following methods:
   • Click Applications & Tiers > Storage Tiers .
   • Click Storage > Aggregates & Disks > Aggregates .
2. In the Storage Tiers window , select the aggregate to which you want to add capacity disks, and then click More Actions > Add Capacity .
3. In the Add Capacity dialog box, perform the following steps:
   1. Click Change .
   2. In the Change RAID Configuration dialog box, specify the RAID group to which you want to add the capacity disks.

      You can change the default value All RAID groups to either Specific RAID group or New RAID group .
   3. Click Save .
