Creating FlexGroup volumes

A FlexGroup volume can contain many volumes that can be administered as a group instead of individually. You can use Storage Manager to create a FlexGroup volume by selecting specific aggregates or by selecting system-recommended aggregates.

1. Click Storage > Volumes.
2. Click the + sign to add a volume.
3. Select More options.
4. Select Distribute volume data across cluster (FlexGroup).
5. Assign a name, the size, and the required permissions to the FlexGroup.
6. Choose the required protection policies and select Save.
