Power-supply LEDs
This section describes the power-supply LEDs on the rear of the server and the suggested actions to correct the detected problems.
The following minimum configuration is required for the server to start:
- One microprocessor
- One 1 GB DIMM
- Power supply
- Power cord
- One cooling fan
The following illustrations show the LEDs and connectors on the rear of the respective 4U and 5U server models.

The following table describes the problems that are indicated by various combinations of the power-supply LEDs and suggested actions to correct the detected problems.

| This is a normal condition when no ac power is present. |

| Typically indicates that a power supply is not fully seated. This is a normal condition before turning on the system. |
On | Off or Flashing | On | Faulty power supply | Replace the power supply. | |
