Removing the EIA bracket

Use this information to remove the EIA bracket.

To remove the EIA bracket, complete the following steps:

1. Read the safety information that begins on Safety and Installation guidelines.
2. If necessary, turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables.
3. If the server has been installed in a rack, slide the server out from the rack enclosure.
4. Remove the screws from the EIA bracket.
   Note

   Use the T8 torx wedge to remove the screws.

5. Slightly side the EIA bracket to the right; then, remove it from the chassis.
