Local and remote video not working
If both the local and remote video is not working, make sure that the controls are adjusted correctly, the monitor is connected the advanced management module, and the KVM is owned by a blade server that supports KVM.
Problem
Nothing appears on either the local video or the remote video.
Investigation
Perform these steps to resolve the problem:
- Make sure that the blade server support video (for example, the IBM BladeCenter JS20 and JS21 blade servers do not support video.
- Verify that the monitor is turned on, and that the brightness and contrast controls are adjusted correctly.
- Verify that the monitor is connected to the advanced management module.
- Verify that the KVM is owned by a blade server that supports KVM, and that the blade server is powered on.
- Reseat the monitor cable.
- Replace the monitor.
