Remove an EMC shield

Use this information to remove an EMC shield.

CAUTION

The power-control button on the device and the power switch on the power supply do not turn off the electrical current supplied to the device. The device also might have more than one power cord. To remove all electrical current from the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from the power source.

Procedure

1. Remove the lower EMC shield.
   1. Press and hold the blue latch.
   2. Rotate the top of the shield outwards.
   3. Lift the shield up to clear the manifold pipe that enters the enclosure.

   Note

   If there is a manifold vertical pipe in front of the EMC shield, you will need to slide the EMC shield sideways to remove it from underneath the pipe.

2. Remove the upper EMC shield.
   1. Press and hold the blue latch.
   2. Rotate the bottom of the shield outwards.
   3. Lift the shield up to clear the manifold pipe that enters the enclosure.
