Installing the interposer cable
Use these instructions to install the interposer cable in a PCIe Expansion Node.
Before installing the interposer cable, read Safety and Installation guidelines.

Hazardous energy is present when the blade is connected to the power source. Always replace the blade cover before installing the blade.
To install the interposer cable in a PCIe Expansion Node, complete the following steps:
After installing the interposer cable, complete the following steps:
- Install the PCIe Expansion Node I/O expansion adapters, if any were removed. See Installing an I/O expansion adapter for instructions.
- Install the PCIe Expansion Node cover. See Installing the cover for instructions.
- Install the compute node I/O expansion adapters, if any were removed. See the compute node Installation and Service Guide for instructions.
- Install the compute node cover. See the compute node Installation and Service Guide for instructions.
- Install the PCIe Expansion Node into the chassis. See Installing the PCIe Expansion Node with compute node host for instructions.
