External USB device not recognized
Use this information to troubleshoot external USB devices.

Network adaptors plugged into I/O expansion connectors 3 or 4 show only half the ports available.
PCIe connectors 3 and 4 only have 1 x 8 PCIe lanes. This creates a problem for cards that require 2 x 8 lanes. Not all cards are supported in connectors 3 and 4.

OS will not load via USB 3.0 port
The USB 3.0 port on the front of the box can not be used to install some OSs, in particular, the Windows OSs, as the driver is not native to this OS and will require a device driver to work. Other OSs, such as Linux should be ok.
