IBM System x iDataPlex 2U Flex Chassis

The IBM® System x® iDataPlex® Type 6313, 6385, 7831, or 7913 2U chassis contains a power supply and a fan assembly that provide operating power and cooling for all of the components in the chassis.

The 2U chassis supports the following configurations:

  • Two IBM System x iDataPlex dx320, dx340, dx360, dx360 M2, or dx360 M3 system-board trays to create a 2U compute server. See 2U compute server example for more information.
  • One IBM System x iDataPlex dx340, dx360, dx360 M2, or dx360 M3 system-board tray and a storage enclosure to create a 2U storage server. See 2U storage server example for more information.
  • One IBM System x iDataPlex dx340, dx360 M2, or dx360 M3 system-board tray and an I/O enclosure to create a 2U input/output server. See 2U input/output server example for more information.
