PowerShell (LXCOPSTool) toolkit

The Lenovo XClarity Orchestrator PowerShell toolkit (LXCOPSTool) provides a library of cmdlets to automate provisioning and resource management from a Microsoft PowerShell session.

The XClarity Orchestrator PowerShell toolkit cmdlets provide an interface to XClarity Orchestrator REST APIs to automate functions such as:
  • Logging in to XClarity Orchestrator
  • Executing a REST API request
  • Connecting and disconnecting resource managers
  • Managing and unmanaging supported devices
  • Performing power operations on managed devices
  • Collecting inventory data for devices and components
  • Monitoring alerts, events, and jobs
  • Applying firmware updates to devices
  • Configuring servers through the use of Configuration Patterns
  • Summary of changes in the PowerShell toolkit
    Lenovo XClarity Orchestrator supports enhancements to the PowerShell toolkit.
  • Installing the PowerShell toolkit
    To use the Lenovo XClarity Orchestrator PowerShell (LXCOPSTool) toolkit, install the toolkit, and start a Microsoft PowerShell session. The PowerShell toolkit is included with the XClarity Orchestrator appliance and can be downloaded as described below.

    The following data types (classes and enumerations) are used by the Lenovo XClarity Orchestrator PowerShell toolkit cmdlets.

    The following PowerShell cmdlets are available for managing the Lenovo XClarity Orchestrator virtual appliance and PowerShell sessions.
