A DC is added successfully.

Select a DC and click ‘+’ in the Room list to add a room to it. Specify the name of the room in the popup dialog, and then click OK.

Select a row and click ‘+’ in the Rack list to add a rack to it. Specify the name of the rack in the popup dialog, configure the space capacity and total power capacity, check the box ‘PDU Power as Rack Power’ if you want to use the power reading of PDU(s) in the rack as the IT equipment power of the rack, and click OK to add the rack.

You may add Cabinet PDUs under rows. Then the connection between the Cabinet PDU and the rack can be manually added. After that, “What happens if the cabinet PDU fails” analysis can be shown in the Layout. If the two Cabinet PDUs are connected to one rack.

If one Cabinet PDU fails, the impacted rack will be colored with orange. If both Cabinet PDU fail, the impacted rack will be colored with red.

Note

The two fields ‘Name’ and ‘Total Power Capacity’ are mandatory when a rack is added. The input text boxes in Energy Manager are marked with bold border if they are required.
