Remove the M.2 backplane assembly filler
Use this information to remove the M.2 backplane assembly filler.
About this task
Attention
Read Safety inspection checklist and Installation Guidelines to ensure that you work safely.
Power off the corresponding compute node that you are going to perform the task on.
Remove the compute node from the chassis. See Remove the compute node from chassis.
Carefully lay the compute node on a flat, static-protective surface, orienting the compute node with the bezel pointing toward you.
Procedure
- Remove the M.2 backplane assembly filler.
Press the clip on the filler.
Rotate the filler upward and remove it from the air baffle.

AttentionTo maintain proper system cooling, do not operate the compute node without an M.2 backplane assembly or an M.2 backplane assembly filler installed on the air baffle.
