Remove the air baffle

Use this information to remove the air baffle.

To remove the air baffle, complete the following steps:

Grasp the air baffle and carefully lift it out of the server.

  1. Remove the top cover. See Remove the top cover.
  2. If the server has a RAID super capacitor module installed underneath the air baffle, disconnect its cable from the extension cable.
  3. Grasp the air baffle and carefully lift it out of the server.
Attention
For proper cooling and airflow, install the air baffle before you power on the server. Operating the server without an air baffle might damage server components.
