Bei einer hinteren 2 x 3,5‑Zoll‑/4 x 2,5‑Zoll-SAS/SATA-Rückwandplatine ist der 16i Adapter 1 auf PCIe-Steckplatz 2 und der 8i Adapter 2 auf PCIe-Steckplatz 3 installiert.
Bei einer hinteren 4 x 3,5‑Zoll-SAS/SATA-Rückwandplatine ist der 16i Adapter 1 auf PCIe-Steckplatz 3 und der 8i Adapter 2 auf PCIe-Steckplatz 6 installiert.
In der folgenden Abbildung wird die 4 x 3,5‑Zoll-SAS/SATA-Rückwandplatine als Beispiel für die Kabelführung verwendet. Die Kabelführung für die anderen Rückwandplatinen ist ähnlich. Verbindungen zwischen Anschlüssen: 1 ↔ 1, 2 ↔ 2, 3 ↔ 3, ... n ↔ n
