Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the server; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.
Note
Do not install memory modules back to the expansion tray until the tray is properly installed.
To install the processor and memory expansion tray, complete the following steps:
Install an expansion tray air baffle on the system board. Make sure it is properly installed before installing the processor and memory expansion tray.

Attention
Air baffle is required for airflow that creates proper cooling. Make sure proper air baffles for system configuration is installed before the power is turned on.
Slightly slide power supply 2 out from the power supply bay (see ).
Grip on the blue touch point on the handle of the expansion tray, and lift it up; then, lower the tray vertically into the server with nailheads aligned to the slots on both sides.
Rotate the handle all the way down. This connects and fix the expansion tray to the system board.

Tighten the two captive screws to secure the handle of the expansion tray.

For the optimal performance, make sure both PHMs and corresponding memory modules are installed to the processor and memory expansion tray.
