Restoring a saved CMM configuration

Use this information to restore a saved CMM configuration.

Attention
When you restore a saved CMM configuration, all current configuration settings are erased. Be sure to save your current configuration before you restore, if you intend use the current settings.

You can restore the CMM to a saved configuration in two ways:

  • In the CMM web interface, a saved configuration is applied from the Manage Configuration page (select Configuration from the Mgt Module Management menu). See Restoring a CMM configuration for more information. All fields and options are fully described in the CMM web interface online help.
  • In the CMM CLI, use the read command (see read command for information about command use).
    Note
The CMM operates in secure mode by default. When the CMM is in secure mode, only the secure file transfer methods HTTPS and SFTP can be used for firmware updates and other tasks involving file transfers, such as transferring a backup configuration file to restore a CMM configuration. The unsecure file transfer protocols HTTP, FTP, and TFTP are disabled when the CMM is in secure mode.
