Use this information to replace the node.
Lenovo support may instruct you that the node needs to be replaced. This should be performed by a trained Lenovo field representative. This instruction is for them.
To replace the node, perform the following steps:
- Shut down the node by following the hypervisor specific Node Shutdown procedure described in the Nutanix Hardware Replacement Documentation.
- Power off the node, disconnect all cables to the node, and remove the node from the rack .
- Remove all the removable parts installed in the node, and install them to the new node.
- Install the new node to the rack.
- Turn the power on.
- Verify that the system board has been successfully replaced by checking the following:
- Stop the startup process at the main TMM menu screen to configure the new system board as a Lenovo Converged HX appliance using the following procedures in Configuration information and instructions.
- Save the settings and boot into the hypervisor.
- Start the node by following the hypervisor specific Node Start procedure described in the Nutanix Hardware Replacement Documentation.
