Viewing Lenovo update bundles state in SCCM

The following procedure describes how to view the update bundle state in SCCM.

About this task

This task is performed on the SCCM console.

To view Lenovo update bundles state in SCCM, expand Overview > All Software Updates, and right-click All Software Updates in the Software Library pane.

After the updates are deployed to their corresponding clients, on the next software update scan, the site database will receive the report from clients on the client systems, indicating whether the update is applicable or installed on each client. The administrator will see the data report and decide which updates should be distributed based on the following information:
Installed
Indicates the clients installed with the update.
Required
Indicates the clients installed with the update, reporting that either the update is applicable but not yet installed, or the installation status is not synchronized to the site server database.
Not Required
Shows the number of clients with inapplicable updates.
Unknown
Shows the number of clients with inapplicable updates. The scan for the software update compliance is not performed, or the scan results is not synchronized to the site server.
Note
By default, the update bundles of the client system with the same machine type are Required. After the update bundles are deployed to the client, the status will be updated to the following:
  • Installed: At least one update in the bundle is installed on the client.

  • Not Required: No update in the bundle is required and installed on the client.
