Device placement
You may find the rack space for many devices after you click button to go to page. In this page, you need specify the destination data center, room or row. Then add the devices which are placed. The device model, size, derated power and device count need be filled.
You may add many different device models. In , you may specify the Power Data Type and Placement Strategy. Round Robin strategy means that the devices are placed into racks averagely. Greedy strategy means the devices is put into the first rack as many as possible and then the second rack is placed.
After all the required info specified, you may get the device placement suggestion. The occupied racks info is shown, including rack name, location, device models, after-placement rack space utilization, after-placement rack power utilization and so on.
You may export the place suggestion result to csv file. You may also see the rack power/space utilization distribution of the before-placement and the after-placement in the layout.
