IPMI Parameter - LAN Configuration Parameters

The following table provides detailed IPMI parameters in LAN configuration.

Host Name

BMC hostname

  • Byte 1: String length, maximum is 63.
  • Byte [2:N]: The plain string of BMC hostname.

DNS Domain Name

0xC4

DNS Domain Name. Set operation implicates using static for DNS Domain Name.

Note
The setting of “Use DHCP for DNS Domain Name” will be disabled
  • Byte 1: String length, maximum is 237.
  • Byte [2:N]: The plain string of DNS Domain name.

DHCP Send Hostname Option

  • 0x01 - Enabled

DHCP Send Vendor Class Information Option
