Install the external LCD diagnostics handset

Follow instructions in this section to install the external LCD diagnostics handset.

About this task

Attention
  • Read the Installation Guidelines to ensure that you work safely.

  • Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the solution; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.

Procedure

  1. Align the connector on the cable with that on the compute node and push it in.

  2. Attach the external LCD diagnostics handset to a metal surface with the magnetic bottom.

After you finish

Check the power LED on each node to make sure it changes from fast blink to slow blink to indicate the node is ready to be powered on.
