Remove the VGA cable

Use this information to remove the VGA cable.

Before you remove the VGA cable, complete the following steps:

  1. Read Safety and Installation Guidelines to ensure that you work safely.

  2. Turn off the server. Disconnect the power cords and all external cables (see Power off the server).

  3. If server is installed in a rack, remove the server from the rack.

  4. Remove the top cover (see Remove the top cover).

To remove the VGA cable, complete the following steps:

  1. Press the VGA cable latch and disconnect the cable from the system board.

  2. Use a tool to press both clips; then, pull the VGA cable cover out.

  3. Remove the screws that secure the VGA cable; then, pull the VGA cable out of the server.
