This topic lists the thermal rules for the server to comply with ASHRAE class A2, A3, or A4 specifications.

ASHARE class A2 environment

The following table lists the ambient temperature requirement for the server depending on the hardware configuration.

ASHARE class A3/A4 environment

To comply with ASHARE class A3/A4 specifications, the server must NOT be configured with below components:

  • CPU (TDP ≥ 170W)

  • 3DS RDIMMs

  • GPUs

  • Mellanox ConnextX-6 100 GbE/200GbE with AOC

  • Xilinx Alveo U25 FPGA

  • Broadcom 57454 OCP 3.0

  • NVMe AIC switches

  • 2 x 7mm SSDs

  • 2 x 2.5'' SSDs
