Remove the top cover

Follow instructions in this section to remove the top cover.

Procedure

Remove the top cover.
  1. Press the release button on the top cover latch.
  2. Rotate the latch until the latch is fully open and the top cover is disengaged from the chassis.
  3. Lift up the top cover from the chassis, and place it on a flat clean surface.
    Attention
    • Service label is located on the inside of the top cover.

    • For proper cooling and air flow, install the top cover before you power on the server. Operating the server with the top cover removed might damage server components.
