Install the power backplane

Follow instructions in this section to install the power backplane.

About this task

Attention

  • Go over Installation Guidelines to ensure that you work safely.

  • Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the server; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.

Procedure

  1. Align the bottom connector on the backplane to the corresponding connector on the system board, and push the backplane in.

  2. Route the power backplane cable through the cable clip, and connect it to the power backplane.
