Server hardware setup
To set up the server, install any options that have been purchased, cable the server, configure and update the firmware, and install the operating system.

Attach all external cables to the server. Typically, you will need to connect the server to a power source, to the data network, and to storage. In addition, you will need to connect the server to the management network. - Power on the server
- Validate server setup
After powering up the server, make sure that the LEDs are lit and that they are white. - Power off the server
The server remains in a standby state when it is connected to a power source. To remove all power from the server (power-on LED off), you must disconnect all power cables.
