Configuration change detection

With configuration-change detection enabled, an error message is displayed in POST when configuration changes of some hardware devices (such as storage drives or memory modules) are detected.

To enable or disable the configuration change detection, complete the following steps:
  1. Start the Setup Utility program (see Starting the Setup Utility program).
  2. Select Security > Configuration Change Detection and press Enter.
  3. Select the desired option, and press Enter.
  4. To save settings and exit the Setup Utility program, press F10; then, select Yes in the displayed window, and press Enter.

To bypass the error message and log in to the operating system, do one of the following:
