Software

The necessary software tools and operating systems are provided with the ThinkAgile SXM Series solution. Certain installation, configuration, and licensing procedures will be performed during the deployment engagement.

Note
Some license agreements might be accepted on the customer’s behalf by Lenovo Manufacturing during the installation and provisioning processes. When required, license agreements will be shipped hardcopy or softcopy with the product.
The following software and operating systems are provided with ThinkAgile SXM Series solutions:

  • Lenovo XClarity Pro

    The Lenovo XClarity Pro suite includes the following:

    • Lenovo XClarity Administrator (LXCA)

      LXCA provides a single interface for managing the switches and servers in the ThinkAgile SXM Series solution.

      This instance of LXCA is used only for managing Azure Stack Hub scale unit nodes. Servers outside the scale unit cluster must be managed by another instance of LXCA if desired.

    This product is provided as a VM on the Hardware Lifecycle Host (HLH) server.

  • Microsoft Windows Server™ 2019 Datacenter with Desktop Experience

    This product is pre-installed on the HLH server.

    Microsoft Hyper-V™ is included, in order to host the LXCA VM.

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Datacenter Core

    This product is pre-installed on the solution nodes.

    Microsoft Hyper-V is included, in order to host the Azure Stack Hub VMs.

  • Microsoft Azure Stack Hub for Enterprise

    This product will be installed and configured at the customer site. See the license considerations for more information.

  • Lenovo Cloud Networking Operating System (CNOS)

    CNOS is pre-installed on the Lenovo TOR switches and ThinkSystem NE0152T BMC switch that are shipped with some SXM4400 and SXM6400 solutions.

  • Lenovo Enterprise Networking Operating System (ENOS)

    ENOS is pre-installed on the Lenovo RackSwitch G8052 BMC switch that are shipped with some SXM4200, SXM6200, SXM4400, and SXM6400 solutions.

  • Cumulus Linux switch operating system

    Cumulus Linux is pre-installed on Mellanox SN2410 TOR switches that are shipped with some SXM4400 and SXM6400 solutions and all SXM4600 solutions.
