Replacing the EIA bracket

Use this information to replace the EIA bracket.

To replace the EIA bracket, complete the following steps:

  1. Read the safety information that begins on Safety and Installation guidelines.
  2. Align the EIA bracket with the pin on the chassis; then, press the bracket onto the chassis and slightly slide it leftward.

  3. Install the screws to secure the EIA bracket to the chassis.
    Note
    Use the T8 torx wedge to install the screws.

  4. Slide the server back into the rack until it latches.
  5. Reconnect the external cables and power cords, if necessary.
