Troubleshooting operating system deployment issues

Use this information to troubleshoot issues that you might encounter when you attempt to deploy operating systems to managed servers from Lenovo XClarity Orchestrator.

  • Cannot deploy an operating system

  • Cannot import a file into the OS-images repository

  • OS installer cannot find the disk drive on which you want to install
    For servers that include software RAID adapters (such as 110i AnyRAID Adapter, ServeRAID C100 or C105 adapter, and Intel RSTe SATA Software RAID adapter), when the SATA adapter is enabled in the management controller, the SATA mode must be set to AHCI. Other modes (such as RAID and IDE) are not supported for software RAID by RHEL, SLES, or VMware operating systems.
