Install a fan
Follow instructions in this section to install a fan.

Attention
Read Installation Guidelines and Safety inspection checklist to ensure that you work safely.
Make sure to replace a defective fan with another unit of the exact same type.
Do not mix single rotor fan and dual rotor fan in the same unit of server.
Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the server; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.
Procedure
- Align the fan to the fan slot in the fan cage; then, insert the fan into the fan cage and press it until it clicks into place.NotePress the fan to make sure they are seated correctly on the system board.Figure 1. Installing a fan
