Install the front I/O expansion board module
Follow instructions in this section to install the front I/O expansion board module.
About this task
Attention
Read Installation Guidelines and Safety inspection checklist to ensure that you work safely.
Touch the static-protective package that contains the drive to any unpainted metal surface on the server; then, remove the drive from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.
Procedure
- Install the front I/O expansion board module.
Push the release latch on the cross bar.
Hold the module at an angle, and insert the two guide pins on system board into the guide holes on the module.

- Slide the front I/O expansion board module toward the front of the chassis until the guide pins on system board are fully seated in the guide holes on the module.Figure 2. Installing the front I/O expansion board module
After you finish
Reconnect the required cables.
Reinstall the network adapter to the front I/O expansion board module. See Install a network adapter.
