Remove the front I/O expansion board module

Follow instructions in this section to remove the front I/O expansion board module.

Procedure

1. Prepare your server.
   1. Remove the top cover. See Remove the top cover.
   2. If a network adapter is installed on the front I/O expansion board module, remove it. See Remove a network adapter.
2. Disconnect all cables from the front I/O expansion board module.
3. Disengage the front I/O expansion board module from chassis.
   1. Press the release latch on the cross bar.
   2. Slide the front I/O expansion board module toward the rear of the chassis to disengage the module from guide pins.

4. Removing the front I/O expansion board module.
   1. Lift up the front end of the front I/O expansion board module to tilt the module.
   2. Remove the module from the chassis.
