Disassemble the power distribution board for recycle

Follow the instructions in this section to disassemble the power distribution board before recycling.

Procedure

1. Make preparation for this task.
   1. Pull the system shuttle out of the chassis, and place it onto the lift platform. See Remove the system shuttle.
   2. Remove the PSU interposer. See Remove the PSU interposer.
2. Disconnect the cables from the power distribution board.
   1. Unfasten the two screws at rear to loosen the compute tray.
   2. Flip over the compute tray and disconnect all the cables from the power distribution board.
   Note

   Press the release latch before pulling the system board power cable connector away from the 54V power distribution board.

3. Unfasten the fourteen screws to remove the power distribution board from the tray.
   Note

   The following illustration uses the 12V power distribution board as an example, but the removal procedures are identical for the 54V board.

4. Disassemble the power distribution board.

   • 12V power distribution board

     1. Loosen the ten screws on the bottom of the power distribution board that secure the two heat sinks.
     2. Remove the two heat sinks from the power distribution board.

   • 54V power distribution board

     1. Loosen the six screws that secure the two heat sinks.
     2. Remove the two heat sinks from the power distribution board.
