Adjust a retainer on the M.2 boot adapter

Use this information to adjust a retainer on the M.2 boot adapter.

About this task

The M.2 boot adapter retainer can be adjusted to accommodate three physical M.2 drive sizes.

Note
The components shown in the illustration are for reference only and may differ from your actual hardware.

Procedure

  1. Press both sides of the retainer.
  2. Move the retainer toward the connector until it is in the large opening of the keyhole.
  3. Take the retainer out of the keyhole; then, insert the retainer into the correct keyhole.
  4. Press both sides of the retainer.
  5. Slide the retainer back until the retainer locking nubs are in the holes.
